Spanish

Spanish at St. Gregory School is not only a means of communication but also a gateway to rich cultures, histories, and traditions. It plays a major role in global literature, music, film, and art, making it one of the most influential languages in the modern world.

  • Begin exposure to Spanish: simple greetings, basic vocabulary, songs, chants, very familiar routines.
  • Oral comprehension and speaking mostly, some emergent reading/listening.
  • Introduce Spanish-speaking cultures in simple form (e.g., holidays, songs, classroom practices).
  • Use the language in very predictable, familiar settings (classroom, greetings, numbers, colors).
